About

       Hi, my name is Kat.
I felt compelled to start Kamay Coffee after years of working for small businesses and corporations and constantly asking myself the questions--"Why aren't there better managers?" "Why don't owners see the issues employees are having?" " Why isn't there better organization in this business?"
I've been in hospitality and food service for the last 10 years, and it has been one of those industries I seem to thrive in. I love people.
I wanted to help translate my experiences to owners and leaders who need help managing or struggle to in any capacity with operating a business. I've witnessed and experienced the biggest fault most owners in a small business have is a lack of support, knowledge, or information in our industry for small business cafes, restaurants, or people starting up. It's easy to have all this information for "foo-foo" stuff for corporations, but it's unrealistic to apply to small business most of the time, and especially in hospitality.
Kamay means hand in Tagalog. I want to give that hand to others looking to grow and help make better leaders and businesses in our industry one shop at a time.
